 Jeremiah 32

[4] And Zedekiah king of Judah shall not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but shall surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak with him mouth to mouth, and his eyes shall behold his eyes; [5] And he shall lead Zedekiah to Babylon, and there shall he be until I visit him, saith the LORD:

Jeremiah 37

[2] Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; Go and speak to Zedekiah king of Judah, and tell him, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire:
[3] And thou shalt not escape out of his hand, but shalt surely be taken, and delivered into his hand; and thine eyes shall behold the eyes of the king of Babylon, and he shall speak with thee mouth to mouth, and thou shalt go to Babylon.
[4] Yet hear the word of the LORD, O Zedekiah king of Judah; Thus saith the LORD of thee, Thou shalt not die by the sword:
[5] But thou shalt die in peace: and with the burnings of thy fathers, the former kings which were before thee, so shall they burn odours for thee; and they will lament thee, saying, Ah lord! for I have pronounced the word, saith the LORD.

Jeremiah 39

[6] Then the king of Babylon slew the sons of Zedekiah in Riblah before his eyes: also the king of Babylon slew all the nobles of Judah. [7] Moreover he put out Zedekiah's eyes, and bound him with chains, to carry him to Babylon.

 Words cannot express how amazing this matchup is. There are so many strange phrases in the Bible that seem pointless or strangely written. And this matchup explains why some of them exist. Matthew doesn't flow very well. It doesn't transition smoothly between subject matter. It really isn't obvious why the information is there presented the way it is. But when matched up to Revelation it makes much more sense. Not because it makes much more sense, but because it makes much more sense how it's presented. This was all done by God. It seems particularly strange that not one other person on this planet appears to get it. I'm nothing special. as any Christian can tell you we're all sinners that have fallen way short.

 Matthew 12  [40] For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.  Revelation 10 [ 9 ] And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey. [ 10 ] And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.
