 Matthew 1
17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.

Revelation 1
20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.

• The numbers are all multiples of seven 
• The numbers add up to 42
• The numbers all represent people or living beings 
• In Revelation there are 6 sevens in verses 3-19. They are in groups of 2. This matches with the groups of 14 names in Matthew.
•  The first use of the word "king(s)" matches in both books at the 14th name.
